Definition: Tylopharynginae.  Characterized by the peculiar structure of the stoma which consists of an anterior part formed of 2 U-shaped pieces and a posterior part, long and narrow in form and carrying at its base a pair of stalked vesicles, not a basal thickening.  The homologies of the various parts of the stoma are not clear.  Oesophagus, gonads and male tail typically diplogasteroid.
