Cuticle marked by 24 longitudinal striae which divide it into minute blocks. Lateral fields with 6 incisures except toward extremities. Lip region set off by constriction with 3 or 4 striae. Spear 20u-22u long, with slightly cupped knobs. Postrectal blind sac extending half way or more into tail.
Tylenchorhynchus stegus is distinctive because of 6 lines in lateral fields, form of lip region, postrectal blind sac and tail forms.
