Lateral fields with 5 incisures. Lip region set off by deep constriction with 4 or 5 minute annules. Cephalic framework moderately sclerotized. Spear 18u long with broad, deeply cupped knobs. Spermatheca an elongate pouch in uterine tract, its length 2-3 times body diameter. Male almost straight when relaxed. Tylenchorhynchus acutoides is distinguished from T. acutus by being bisexual with spermatheca in uterine tracts.
