Definition:  Cyatholaiminae.  Cuticle with fine transverse striae not specially marked off laterally.  Amphids spiral, situated at level of stoma.  Head composed of 6 indistinct lips, each with an inconspicuous papilla; a circlet of cephalic setae, often 10 in number, present.  Stoma cup-shaped with longitudinal folds in walls and with a large pointed dorsal tooth at base.  Oesophagus cylindrical and slightly swollen behind.  Vulva equatorial; gonads paired, opposed, reflexed.  Spicules ventrally arcuate, slender; gubernaculum double, somewhat keel-like and with an expanded portion on either side of tips of spicules. Pre-anal, mid-ventral supplements present.  Caudal glands and terminal duct present.
