Genus Miconchus

Definition:  Monochidae.  Large species, Dorsal tooth and 2 subventral teeth equal in size, all at same level, in the second half of stoma, pointing forwards.  Stoma oval or barrel-shaped, moderately cuticularized.  Oesophago-intestinal junction tuberculate.  Ovaries usually paired, sometimes single and prodelphic.  Tails narrow with the hind part cylindrical, rarely conical.  Caudal glands and terminal duct usually present.
