This will be an online procedures manual on identification of nematodes using a molecular marker. The molecular marker is the Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) region of the nuclear ribosomal DNA gene family. This region of the nuclear genome is highly variable, making it an ideal marker for discriminating species. We will present the necessary information for this technique including:
