Anguinidae.

Median bulb with valve; isthmus separated from the glandular bulb by a constriction; intestine overlapping the end of the glandular bulb that forms a stem-like extension. Oocytes in one/two rows; columned uterus with four long rows of cells (about 14 cells per row). Testes without flexures, caudal alae leptoderan. Mature females swollen. Above ground parasites of higher plants. The adults are the cryptobiotic stage instead of one of the larval stages as in the other Anguinids.
