Diagnosis: Cuticle with prominent
longitudinal ridges. Odontostyle generally very slender, more robust
in some species. Anterior part of pharynx thin, non-muscular;
oesophagus tripartite. Female reproductive system amphidelphic.
Male with dorylaimoid spicules
and supplements arranged in two fascicles.
Female tail elongate
to filiform; male tail short, rounded.
Type subgenus: Actinca Andrássy, 1964.
