Criconemoides fimbriatus Thorne & Malek, 1968

Annules 51 and 61 on two specimens collected. Each annule on one specimen bore an irregular fringe while on the other only minute irregularities could be seen. An annule with a deep notch was present anteriorly adjacent to the vulva on one specimen and posteriorly adjacent on the other. First labial annule deeply scalloped, forming four sublateral lobes. The second is also deeply indented with obscure notches occurring on the third and fourth. Annules overlapping with a distinct locking device between them. Spears 55u and 60u long. Esophagus with convoluted lumen in procorpus, narrow isthmus and slightly pyriform basal bulb. Cardia minute. Reproductive systems of both specimens immature. Vulva exit through a large annule. Anus and rectum not observed, obscured by exceedingly thick cuticle.

Criconemoides fimbriatus is distinctive because of the small number of huge ornamented annules, short spear and few annules in the vulva-terminus region.

Holotype female and 1 other specimen indexed under Criconemoides 4.
